Birds of Mount Abu in the third week of January 2023.
Throughout the third week of January, I concentrated on photographing raptors, flycatchers and warblers. We have not documented warblers well here in our area. Hopefully, in the future, we will document most species that visit here.
Documenting the different species of birds that visit our abode is a fulfilling and exciting experience.
Warblers are migratory birds that travel long distances to breed and feed in various habitats. They are usually small, colourful birds with distinct patterns and their songs are quite melodious. To understand their population and distribution patterns, it is necessary to document their presence in Abu.
Documenting their presence and population trends can provide crucial information for conservation efforts. This information can help track changes in bird populations over time and provide valuable data for research. Egyptian vultures used to nest here in fairly large numbers, as I mentioned previously. Even if I see one bird of this species today, I'm thrilled.
