Birds Mount Abu February 2023.

Birds of Mount Abu in the last week of February 2023.

Many northern hemisphere bird species start migrating north in the last week of February. These birds begin their trip back to their breeding territories in the Arctic and temperate regions as the days lengthen and temps increase. The last week of February signals the start of the breeding season for many migrating avian species. They return to their breeding grounds to establish colonies, build nests, and begin courtship displays.
Mount Abu is home to a few migratory ducks that remain for a long time before leaving in mid-March. Several birds have left in the last few days of March, according to my observations. Cherish the collection of bird species I have compiled for the last week of Feb 2023.
"The Common Buzzard is observed to frequent Mount Abu in Rajasthan, India, throughout the winter. These feathered friends migrate, and some populations in Europe and Asia migrate south during the winter months to keep away from extreme cold weather and a shortage of food in their nesting regions."
