Birds of Mori Bera 17 Dec 2017

Spotting a leopard in the land of leopards that once roamed free is now becoming harder and harder to spot as the massive influx of tourists from all parts of India's head for this destination. We were fortunate to get a glimpse of a cub on the 16 evening. After our initial disappointment, we decided to skip the morning safari and head out to do birding at the various water bodies around Bera.
Birding also turned out to be a big disappointment as the migratory birds had still not arrived or have avoided this part of Rajasthan for better pastures. Hera is the few snaps I have compiled which are posted below.

Birds of Mount Abu Birds  July  2017.

After the sizzling hot months of May and June in the Abode of the Gods, July would seem the ideal month for tourists to visit the Abode. Let me assure you July is ok for a pleasant stay to avoid the blistering conditions of the plains, but it’s not an ideal place for birding, streams are dry, the forest is dry and pining for the monsoons. I've put together a small collection of birds photographed in the month of July.
