Birds at Mount Abu in May.(2023)

Discovering the Birds of Mount Abu in May is a birder's delight.

In Abu, the UV levels can be high during the day in May. To make the most of your birding experience, it's recommended to go early in the morning or late in the evening when the temperature is cooler and the birds are more active. The first week of May this year was delightful in Mount Abu, with the weather feeling exceptionally cool and comfortable.
There are many bird species to be found on Mount Abu, including both resident and migratory birds. In May, you can observe rare bird species such as the Asian Paradise Flycatcher and Green Avadavat.
For those interested in bird photography, May can offer great opportunities for capturing stunning shots. Early morning and late evening light create beautiful effects. Use a fast shutter speed to freeze the bird's motion and ensure a clear, unobstructed view.
Appreciate the collection I've put together of the birds photographed in the first week of May.

Birding in April 2023.Mount Abu.

The Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary is also a must-visit for birdwatchers.

Birding in the last week of April 2023

Keep an eye out for these bird species in the last week of April: Oriental Honey-buzzards, Crested serpent eagles, Indian Blackbirds, Indian paradise flycatchers, Common Rose finches, and Green Avadavats.
Here are some quick and to-the-point suggestions for a Mount Abu birding expedition during peak tourist season:
Prepare ahead of time, and avoid the weekends, as Abu tends to get overcrowded and the hotel tariff can skyrocket.
Carry the necessary equipment. Jungle trails can become tedious if you carry too much heavy equipment.
Be considerate. Avoid disturbing the birds during peak nesting season as it may have an impact on them.
Hire a local tour guide. Your guide should have the basic information and know which species you are looking forward to bagging. I recommend Charles guide your birding trip. (Charles Guide )
Explore various habitats.
Be patient.
