Welcome to my blog, where I share my passion for bird photography! Most of the photos you’ll find here are from my personal collection, taken during my birdwatching adventures in Mount Abu. I’ve also captured moments from various trips across India, all showcasing the incredible diversity of bird life in our country.
Though I consider myself an amateur photographer, my journey began with simple point-and-shoot cameras. Over time, I upgraded to my Canon 550D, which has allowed me to explore my love for birding more deeply. While I don’t have access to the top-notch gear used by professional birders, I believe passion and patience are crucial. I hope my photos capture the enthusiasm and commitment I have towards this gratifying hobby.
My earlier endeavours to capture Mount Abu’s birds may not be flawless, but every photo has a story to tell - whether it’s about identifying a species or documenting a sighting. I’m trying to preserve a record of the bird species found in Mount Abu, as their futures are uncertain. Sadly, species like the Egyptian Vulture and Indian Vulture, once common here, have all but disappeared. Through my lens, I aim to chronicle the birds of Abu as faithfully as I can, honouring the work of past birders who dedicated themselves to the same task.

Over the years, I have been able to photograph 147 species of birds seen on Mount Abu. I have yet to snap a few more species that are endemic to this place. I have seen the Grey Hornbill, the Indian Nightjar, the Grey Junglefowl and the elusive Barn Owl. If I happen to chance on them, I'll post them here.
