A visit to (Duck Pond) a mini Bharatpur in Mount Abu.
Let me take you on a brief trip, to a favourite haunt of mine which I have nicknamed "The Duck Pond" It's a small water body near the Mahadeva Temple before Achalgarh.
It's an exceptional place where many migratory birds come to spend their winter. Where I'm concerned, it's a mini Bharatpur in Abu hope it stays THE WAY IT IS IN THE YEARS TO COME.
Every winter it houses many migratory bird-like Common Pochard, Eurasian Coot, Eurasian Moorhen, Gadwall, Green-winged teal, Northern Pintail, Northern Shoveler, Tufted Duck, Common Sandpiper, Common Snipe, a few varieties of sandpipers, wagtails and cormorants.
