Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary birds in May.
Most migrants to the sanctuary have left by the second week of May. May is my least favourite month for birding as it restricts one to birding either early morning or late evening, The sun during the day is harsh and UV high at this altitude. It's the breeding season for the local birds and the few summers and monsoon visitors like the Indian Blackbird. Brahminy Starling and Indian Golden Oriole, The Vulnerable species, Green Munia Amandava Formosa are seen in small flocks in quite a few places in Abu. I wanted to do a follow up on the Cinereous Tit that I had seen 7km down our main road, but unfortunately, could not as LOCKDOWN by the Govt had come into effect,
