2 Days to go for India Lockdown Extension to ease.
With 2 days left for the lifting of the 4th phase of Lockdown. Home Minister is seeking to extend the lockdown from 1 June 2020. Hopefully, there is a relaxation of travel within green zones. I need to visit my favourite haunts, hoping to catch a few late migrants that are still here. Posting a few snaps taken these last few days. Appreciate my attempt on portraying the birds of Abu. Pleasant viewing.

30 May 2020.
Today after 67 days of LOCKDOWN ventured out with a mate to visit our duck pond En route Achalgarh, it surprised me to see that the pond still held some water, because by this time of year it's usually bone dry. All the other migrants had come there were a handful of local birds a few Little Grebe with their chicks, some Red-wattled Lapwing with their brood, Rock Pigeons a White-throated Kingfisher guarding her nest and a few Red-rumped Swallow skimming the water. Left after a short while as the glare and harsh sunlight made taking photographs a daunting task,

A Red-wattled Lapwing ventured too close to the nest of the kingfisher
what followed next was a scene to watch. The kingfisher took off and began
attacking the bird.
