Birds of Mount Abu Birds in November 2019 mountabubirds.blogspot.com

Birding in November 2019. Mount Abu.

Birders heading here for Mount Abu should avoid the first 10 days of November(Post Diwali). Abu at the moment is crowded and there is a constant flow of vehicular traffic throughout the day and late into the evening. Also, the weekends till December should be a NO. Birders try to make it mid-week when there is a lull in the tourist movement.
The Alpine Swift, Common Hawk-Cuckoo, Eurasian Marsh-Harrier, Pallid Harrier, Eurasian Sparrowhawk, Eurasian Crag-Martin, Greenish Warbler, Hume's Warbler, Booted Warbler, Common buzzard, Long-legged Buzzard, Grey Wagtail, and a few species of sandpipers are among our migratory winter visitors. The Green Munia should be on everyone's list because Abu is probably the only spot where a birder may add this RARE bird to his collection.
