Life is what you make of it
Life is what you make of it; I thought after my near-death experience and being incapacitated I resigned myself to a sedated lifestyle of sitting in front of my computer and keep my mental facilities from dying by actively participating in all that the big web had to offer. The more I sat, the more I realized that this could never be my lifestyle I needed to break free and to break all the restraints that life holds in store for me. From hobbling along with my walker, I finally decided to use the one arm bandit and walk even if it meant going through the turmoil of going back to square one.
This decision changed me. I slowly started finding gratitude in this instance. I went even further I decided to hop onto the scooter and see if I could manage the impossible. The pain was excruciating on my first maiden ride into town but sheer determination kept me going and when I got back I was a changed man.
I have realized over the years the power to succeed or fail is within one’s self. It what one determines how one wants to shape one's life. I know I have a long and tedious task ahead, I’m gonna face many hardships and new challenges, there is going to be a host of disappointments and I have to realize it may either lead me into depression or a greater will to overcome the obstacles thrown at me. There’s nothing to stop me but myself, and if I now chicken out I shall be cheating myself of my fundamental dictate that I've always lived with “Live life to the hilt”, no matter what the outcome is going to be. Gosh, it's time to display my handiwork enjoy my collection of birds shot in the last two weeks of February.
