Birding in the second week of March 2021.Mt Abu.

Nesting season is in full swing. Migration back to their respective homes on their last legs Some birds that are RARE to this area are the Common Buzzard, Black Stork, and Peregrine Falcon. I have put together a small collection during my birding in the second week of March.

Birding in December Mount Abu.

Continued the second week of December 2021.

I have been reporting and studying the Peregrine Falcon (Shaheen)( Sub-Species of Peregrine Falcon)It Inhabits rocky and hilly regions on crags and rock peaks.

I've observed hunts at dawn and sunset, where doves, kingfishers, water birds, and pigeons are their common targets. I know they breed in Dec right up to April. I have observed their courtship flights, and their aerial acrobatics, and have seen the juveniles being fed. This was the first time I got to observe them in courtship. I observed the Falcon swooping in towards the tower. It looked like it was going to attack the one perching on the tower. What followed next was mind-blowing. I got to capture the complete sequence of their mating ritual. I have made a slideshow of the sequence. It is best viewed on the FULL screen.
