Birds of Mount Abu Last 2 Week of May 2019

Birding in the second week of May this year has been on a low key level as the scorching sun for early morning too late in the evening confines one to the cooler interior of the house. There were a few days when Mother Nature bestowed some heavy clouds over Abu with the hope we would receive some May showers which eluded us leaving us panting like dogs in the summer. Hill-sides are parched and all small water bodies and streams are bone dry. I'm posting a collection of birds during this period.

Birds around the house, May 2014.

From mid-April to mid-June, the average temperature hovered at around 36 °C. The nights were pleasant. The birds I managed to photograph, taken either in the early morning or late evening, are featured in this post. Take a moment to admire nature's creations.

Baya Weaver has finally arrived. These birds are not very common and are found in a few places in this hill station of ours. They make their seasonal appearance near the end of May.
