October birding [2022]Mount Abu.
The first week of October 2022.
The first week of October 2022 started off my birding session with a bang. Here in Mount Abu, I photographed a lifer for me, the Asian brown flycatcher. There's mention of this bird being spotted at sunset on 25 March 2001 (Sangha & Devarshi 2004). I snapped this species first on 26/09/2022]and on [2 Oct 2022]Awaiting confirmation via eBird.
There's no better time of year to visit Mount Abu than in October. Travellers and birdwatchers alike will enjoy this month. Currently, the weather is pleasant. The green hillsides are breathtaking. The migration of warblers, flycatchers, raptors, and ducks is best observed in Mount Abu towards the end of the year.
