Birding at Deora Dam (24.526081,72.6434882) 9 Feb 2021.

After our hectic trip to Jawai Dam, we decided the next day to visit a dam closer to home. This dam lies at the foothills of Mount Abu on the Revdar road. We got some birds, but most of the other birds were way too far away to get decent photographs. Appreciate the snaps snapped at the Deora Dam.

Did a brief spate of backyard birding. Tomorrow we plan to cover the area around Madhusudhan Temple. The flycatchers, warblers and the Oriel in this area enticed us, birders like the legendary cache of Mackenna's gold.

Birding opposite the Madhusudhan Temple was fruitful: we found our Mackenna's gold. The Black-hooded Oriole. Appreciate this beauty and the other birds of this area.

On 3 Feb 2021, we covered a small area around Danvav Anand samovar at the base of Mount Abu. Then on 4 Feb 2021, we covered our favourite grove opposite the Madhusudhan temple (24.499643, 72.713104) on the Revdar road. If anyone planning to do a spot of birding in Abu Road, I recommend this one place they should visit. Before venturing into this area, courtesy demands to take the permission of the Maharaj at the temple. Have a look at the highlight of our birding trip, appreciate the photographs.
