Birding in November 2021 Mount Abu.mountabubirds.blogspot.com

Birding Diwali holiday season Mount Abu

Continued from the previous post,

Our Winter season in Abu should be in full swing by mid-November. Night temperatures hover around 10 degrees. Sunny skies and cheerful days create an excellent scene for birders to devote a few days here. As I have pointed out earlier, show up only after the Diwali rush has departed. Hotel tariffs will be reasonable and no buzzing of vehicular traffic. Like the snaps, I’ve posted.

The first week of November has flown by. Tourists are here in the thousands. In another few days, the volume will go down. I will then try to cover the various pockets that are visited by our winter migrants. Pipits, buntings and our wild ducks are yet to be observed and photographed.
