Birds of Mount Abu July 2021 mountabubirds.blogspot.com.

Backyard and hillside birding in Mount Abu.

Come July and the expectancy of the arriving monsoons and birds such as the Pied Cuckoo (Harbingers of rain)the Indian Blackbird, the Indian Golden Oriole, the Brain-fever bird, and of course the Asian koel not forgetting the Indian Paradise flycatcher are some birds I look forward to. It’s the time of the with overcast skies and misty drizzle for many a day. I love photographing the Green Avadavat(Green Munia)at this time of the year I find them in large flocks also the other munis the Scaly-breasted Munia and the Indian Silverbill are plentiful. It’s the time of the year to observe birds and their behaviour, it’s fascinating to watch their mating antics, their territorial defence tactics, and their frenzy of building nests and feeding their young.
