Birds of Mount Abu August 2020 mountabubirds.blogspot.com

Birds in the last week of August 2020.

"Indian paradise flycatcher (Terpsiphone paradisi) The females have a shorter tail, are cinnamon in color above, and do not have the blue eyering of the male. They pursue insects with brief flying sallies, frequently landing back on the same perch. Here the female is perched on a dry stump."

Mount Abu's weather during the last week of August was typically the weather of the gods, with heavy to hefty rain showers and an intermittent spell of fine drizzle throughout the day. Misty throughout the day. With the sun blotched out, shooting in dull light posed a challenge. I was fortunate to photograph the Oriental Darter a lifer for me here in Abu. Appreciate my collection of snaps and slideshows posted below,

WATCH IN FULL FRAME TO SEE THESE BEAUTIFUL BIRDS.
