Birding in July is a relatively quiet month in the year for some birders.
Birding of the year is less spectacular than in winter, but it offers you a fair share of the local birds. The Green Avadavat (Munia) is seen all over Abu this time of the year. I have also seen the Indian silver bill and scaly-breasted Munia in small flocks, it's nesting time for the Indian blackbird, the Indian Paradise flycatcher. The pied cuckoo, the Brain-fever bird (Common hawk Cuckoo)also visits Abu during this period. The species are endemic to this area: Grey jungle fowl, the Red spur fowl and various other birds. Appreciate my collection of photographs taken in July.
