Birds of Mount Abu MARCH 2019 mountabubirds.blogspot.com

Birding In March Mount Abu

Mount Abu is no longer a birdwatcher's paradise, nor a sanctuary to spot wild animals. The sanctuary is well preserved but probably lacks adequate food and water for both birds and animals. This sanctuary has very limited animals and birds and for this reason; it is not a favoured hot spot for wildlife enthusiasts and avid birders.
This year my birding streak in the month of March has been an extremely happy one. I could bag a few species that were probably not photographed before. I spotted a few lifers, including the Little Ringed plover, Black Eagle, Common Snipe, Eurasian Craig Martin, Pallid Harrier, and spot-billed duck. I've observed the return of the Vultures which once soared in the skies in large numbers. Appreciate the collection I've drawn up.
