Woodpeckers, in general, are pretty uncommon in Mount Abu. Birders are fortunate to get a glimpse of this species the Black-rumped flame back. I personally feel that their numbers have come down or else they have moved to the more forested part of our range.

On the 17 Feb 2019, I had gone to our favourite duck pond along with Mohan a teacher from St.Mary's.  This year there was a fewer migratory bird than previous years. Did take a head count of the various species that were present such as Northern Shoveler, Common PPochard, Tufted Duck, Little grebe and the various sandpapers..
