Birds of Mount Abu April 2020 mountabubirds.blogspot.com

Birding during the Second Wave of COVID-19 In Raj IN.

Birds of Mount Abu, the third week of April 2021.

SOS and sterner measures sounded in India as the virus runs Amok. The administration in Rajasthan has called for assistance from the BSF and Army to address the serious spread of the coronavirus in border areas. Mount Abu at the moment is relatively calm. We have a small percentage of Covid positive cases, but nothing to panic about. Appreciate the birds captured during these trying times. This year I have observed that the Oriental honey Buzzard has increased in number, and large flocks of Common Rose-finch have also come up to Abu.

Birds of Mount Abu April 2020 mountabubirds.blogspot.com

Birding during the Second Wave of COVID-19 In Raj IN.

Mount Abu birds the second week of April 2021.

In view of the COVID situation, and the 3-day curfews imposed this weekend from 17 Friday till Monday morning, have suspended all tourist and local movement. Hopefully, there is no second lockdown of the coronavirus running amok.

With the onset of summer, our native birds are underway with their breeding activities. The Indian Robins, Brown Rock Chat, Red-wattled Lapwing, and large-billed crows are all busy propagating their species. I’ve put together a collection of birds photographed in the second week of April.
