Banni Grassland Kutch Gujarat
Banni grasslands have a rich variety of Avifauna. On our visit there, the savanna topography that greeted us impressed us. What impressed us were the solitary habitats of some locals that lived in the forlorn area, with No access to any type of transportation, fresh vegetables, and drinking water. Birding is a pleasure in this terrain but in the colder months of the year. Summer would kill, and the monsoon season would certainly be a NO-NO, as this area would be far too swampy to move around. Wish we had spent a few days exploring more of this region. Scroll to see the photographs I took on my trip here.
