Babblers--Passeriformes- Timaliidae

The babblers or timaliids are somewhat diverse in size and colouration but are characterised by soft fluffy plumage. There are 117 species, which occur in India. India has the largest number of babblers of any country and this represents the largest bird family grouping in any country outside of South America.
