Mount Abu Birds In March 2023.

The first week of March 2023 saw the observation and documentation of birds in Mount Abu.

As spring comes, winter visitors and migratory species return to their breeding areas in Europe.
The precise places to which they return differ depending on the breed. Certain birds, like the Eurasian Sparrowhawk, fly more than 6,000 kilometres to Africa for winter, while others, like the Common Kestrel, travel shorter distances.
Northern Pintail, Northern Shoveler, Common Pochard, Tufted Duck, and Common Teal are ducks that live in Europe and Asia.. They spend the winter in southern and western Europe, northern Africa, and western Asia, flying thousands of kilometres.
The length of migration differs according to species, location, and other variables, such as weather and food supply.
Have a look at the selection of birds documented in the first week of March 2023.
