Birds of Mount Abu May 2022 mountabubirds.blogspot.com.

Birds at Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary in May.

The first week of May this year gave us a taste of how hot our summer days are going to be. Day temperatures have hit 36C. If you are looking for a lovely tan, sit under the shade of trees and the UV will do the rest. If you don't believe me, come out and try it.
The breeding season and monsoon bring Indian Blackbirds, Indian Birds of Paradise, and Indian Golden Orioles to Abu. I have seen small groups of the endangered Green Munia Amandava Formosa in several places in Abu.
I have compiled a small collection of birds I have photographed during this time. Enjoy!
