The Birds of Mount Abu in April 2022.
Looks like global warming is happening. The last week of March witnessed an abrupt upsurge in temperatures. Even the endemic birds began nesting approximately a month sooner than expected. The initial week of April experienced temperatures as steep as 35/36°F. The adage our folks used while I was growing up went something like this: “MAD Dogs and English men in the midday heat.”The sunlight kept most birders in their cooler quarters by midday’s strong UV level and baking sun. I spent some time birding early in the morning or late in the evening. Engross in my collection of birds photographed in the first week of April.
