One of our smallest winter visitors, the Taiga or Red-throated flycatcher,
Is seen commonly all over Abu, beside streams, jungle footpaths and open grasslands,
Has a grey-brown face, reddish-orange throat in males, small dark bill, dark eye with slim pale eye-ring.
Has a black tail with white at the basset its outer tail feathers.
Rapidly flicks tail upwards, always sallies through the undergrowth, feeding on flying insects.
Red-throated Flycatcher over the years.
